“Jan Van Eyck. An Optical Revolution “ The Stay at Home Museum

The largest Jan Van Eyck exhibition ever is here for you to enjoy from your armchair. As a measure against the further spread of the Coronavirus, this exhibition unfortunately had to be closed. As an alternative, we invite you to take this virtual tour.

Till-Holger Borchert, Director of the Museums Bruges and one of the curators of “Van Eyck. An Optical Revolution”, takes you through the galleries. He reflects on some of the works by the Flemish Master, which are now exceptionally collected in one place. Take the virtual tour here!

Worldwide, only approximately twenty works by Van Eyck have been preserved. Quite exceptionally, over half of these have traveled to Ghent in 2020 for this exhibition ‘Van Eyck. An optical revolution’ at the Museum of Fine Arts (MSK). Enjoy the world of Van Eyck and his revolutionary gaze brought to life like never before.
